Compelling Preaching Initiative - Indy
The Lantz Center for Christian Vocations at the University of Indianapolis brought together prominent and effective preachers in our city to guide and lead the Compelling Preaching Initiative. This diverse group of preachers come from a variety of theological and denominational traditions, and from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds.
In the foundational stage of the Compelling Preaching Initiative, the Council uncovered six values that consistently serve as guides for compelling preachers: authenticity, holistic preparation, effective storytelling, relevant and social awareness, theological faithfulness, and innovative use of multiple platforms.
These six values of Compelling Preaching are the guiding principles of our Cohort Initiative.
